About Me

Hi, I'm Witek — an iOS engineer from Kraków, Poland. I lead iOS at Stoic, a Y Combinator-backed mental health app with over 3 million downloads — and on the side, I'm going indie, building my own apps for Apple platforms.

You can follow what I'm building on the apps page.

Background

I've spent my career on Swift and Apple platforms — iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS — shipping consumer apps at scale. I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science and was awarded WWDC Scholarships by Apple twice (2018 & 2019). At Stoic I've worn the iOS Lead, Tech Lead, and CTO hats, which covers the full spectrum: product, architecture, App Store, and everything in between. That's exactly the toolkit I'm now also pointing at my own ideas.

Toolbox

I work agent-first: my repos are built to be legible to both humans and coding agents — agent rules files, strict conventions, CI that keeps everyone honest. Agents do a lot of the typing; architecture, product taste, and the final call stay with me.

Craft

  • Swift 6, strict concurrency
  • SwiftUI, no ViewModels
  • Swift Testing
  • Core Data & CloudKit
  • UIKit when it earns it

Platforms

  • iOS
  • iPadOS
  • macOS
  • watchOS
  • visionOS

Agentic workflow

  • Claude Code
  • Cursor & Copilot
  • Xcode + MCP tooling
  • GitHub Actions CI
  • swift-format, Neovim

Open Source

My most popular project is EPUBKit — a Swift library for parsing EPUB documents with 300+ stars on GitHub. I also maintain developer tools like vim-swiftdocstring and share my dotfiles for macOS productivity.

Beyond Code

When I'm not coding, you can find me on Kraków's running trails (check my Strava!) or working through my Goodreads list.
